Meyer Timber

Mel and Marilyn Meyer established Meyer Timber Pty Ltd in 1975 in Dandenong, Victoria. Since then Meyer Timber has become one of the largest timber wholesale operations in Australia and continues to grow.

Mel Meyer’s values and beliefs continue to this day: our success is measured by the quality of our customer service.

To support this we invest heavily in inventory; through both sheer volume of product and the diverse range we keep.

We also aim to offer fast lead times so we have created infrastructure that has been designed for efficient handling and distribution of product.

It is important that our customers have trust and confidence in dealing with us.

Meyer remains under the proud ownership of the Meyer Family, As a private company it is the people that we deal with who are of most importance to us.

Meyer Timber N.S.W

In August of 2007 we were delighted to add the Staff of Structalam to the Meyer Timber Family under the banner of Meyer Structalam pty ltd. A company that shared the same values and beliefs, it has been a natural cultural fit.

Structalam Timber Products was established in 1988 by David Cook as an active participant in the N.S.W Engineered Wood Products market at wholesale level. Priding itself on technical expertise second to none and a logistical service to match, Structalam built an excellent reputation.

Purchased by the Meyer family in 2007 the now “Meyer Timber N.S.W” has grown into a more diversified wholesaler of timber products.

Retaining the core original staff, the buisness has developed into a diversified wholesaler of timber products providing a more complete product offering to the Trade merchant, Frame and Truss manufacturers.

In Janurary 2012, A total redevelopment of the St.Mary's site totalling 22,000m2 was completed. This included the building of a vast new warehouse and a change of layout to improve logistics.

Following this redevelopment, The Meyer Structalam buisness has undertaken a name change to Meyer Timber N.S.W to better reflect its range of products.
